2. From 4-Wire Direct Wiring to a Simplified 3-Wire System

Both products can be integrated into vehicle lighting systems, but their wiring architectures are different.

The original light uses four separate wires:

The Modular light uses a 3-wire design, allowing the lights to connect directly to the dedicated Modular controller.

3. More Mounting Options

The original grille light comes with an L-shaped mounting bracket.

The Modular System provides both:

• L-shaped mounting bracket
• C-Clip mounting bracket

The C-Clip is designed for grille slats/openings up to approximately 3.9MM thick, allowing the light to sit directly within many honeycomb and slat-style grilles.

And if you already own the original grille lights, there's good news: The C-Clip can also be used with the original lights. No special screws are required—the C-Clip uses the same screws as the original L-shaped bracket.

So an existing setup can gain a cleaner grille-mounted installation without replacing the lights themselves.

4. Same Core Lighting, More Lighting Effects

Both generations provide the three core lighting modes:

• Yellow

But this is where the Modular System takes a major step forward.

The Modular controller adds 7 dynamic lighting effects through the wireless remote.

Instead of simply switching between three colors/modes, the Modular System can create dynamic lighting effects across the entire grille.

The original grille lights do not include a controller or wiring harness.

6. Already Own the Original Lights? You Can Upgrade

This is where the new system becomes particularly interesting for existing customers.

You don't necessarily need to replace your original lights.

If you already have our original grille lights, you can purchase the C-Clip mounting brackets and compatible controller separately to add new functionality.

However, there is an important limitation. The original lights use a 4-wire design, while the Modular lights use a 3-wire design. When connecting the original lights to the Modular controller, one of the four wires must remain disconnected.

That means one lighting function will no longer be available.

For example, leaving the Combo wire disconnected means you can no longer activate the original Yellow + White Combo mode through that setup.

So the original lights can be integrated into the controller system, but they cannot provide the complete functionality of the new Modular lights.

7. Cable Length and Installation

The original grille light includes approximately 146CM of cable, providing plenty of length for direct vehicle wiring.

The Modular light uses approximately 140CM of cable and is designed primarily to connect to the dedicated controller.

While the cable length is slightly different, the Modular System is designed as a complete system, with the controller handling the multi-light connection and wireless control.
